I’m taking my business degree and making art with it. Creativity is not something any university can teach you, and I stand behind that 100%. Art is about expressing yourself in unique ways; we are all artists with different skills. I am an artist who is inspired by my surroundings. I am teaching from my own experience! humble beginnings
My grandmom taught me how to knit when I was 8 years old, and I’ve been knitting ever since! I remember going to the craft store for the first time and picking out pink yarn with my first pair of bamboo knitting needles. My first creation was a pink scarf finished with a “made with love” metal tag. I remember how excited I was about making scarfs and soon began to sell my scarfs by the time I was 12 years old. I always knew I was born to be an entrepreneur.
Growing up, I always found comfort in the art room at school. I come from a Portuguese heritage- according to my parents, I was born to play soccer. I tried the whole sports thing and it wasn’t for me! It took many years of learning and discovery for me to finally find my niche in the art industry. If you’re a parent, a sibling, or a friend to anyone trying to discover themselves, my tip is: let everything fall into place naturally; let that person experiment with different things and always encourage them, no matter which path they choose to take.
